  • Victoria Combo

BARCELONA (Spain) March 18th. New additions to Victoria Combo make it a high performance tool for testing Next Generation Networks.

There are new additions to the Victoria Combo family. Besides the original, modular, stackable tester, there are now new dedicated testers for STM-16, OC-48, STM-64 and OC-192 networks.
The new testers have the same power and sophistication as the original Victoria Combo, but they are dedicated to testing on one type of technology. This way you have a high-level, dedicated tester at a very affordable price.

Each new Victoria Combo STM-N/OC-M is supplied as a complete tester for the transmission technology you want to test.

Competitively priced and with the opportunity to upgrade and add more modules as and when required, this not only offers state of the art testing but also secures your investment.

These new models have the advanced, powerful testing capabilities of the existing modular Victoria Combo. Each individual tester comes with a large colour touchscreen and the ability to be used remotely using wireless or physical connections.

    Victoria Jitter/Wander

BARCELONA (Spain) April 8th. Synchronization enables the frequency and phase of the equipment clocks in a network to remain constrained within the specified limits.

The first digital networks were asynchronous, and therefore did not call for properly working external synchronization. It was the arrival of SDH and SONET networks that started to make synchronization essential to maintain transmission quality and efficiency of supported teleservices.

Some isochronous services, like telephony, can tolerate deficient synchronization rather well, and have little or no effect on the end-user. Others, like digital TV transmission, fax, or compressed voice and video services, are more sensitive to synchronization problems.

In HDLC, FRL, or TCP/IP types of data service, slips that do occur, force the retransmission of packets resulting in a less efficient service.

"Bad synchronization causes regeneration errors and slips.
The effects of these impairments may vary in different systems and services"

Victoria Jitter/Wander is a handheld tester for detailed analysis of synchronization faults in SDH, SONET, PDH and T-Carrier networks. General purpose tests (BERT, Overhead analysis, etc.) are also possible.

    Jitter and Wander definition

    > Success Story

For installing pilot equipment and Node-B it is essential to have a tester that supports the physical interfaces, and comprehensive ATM functions. Major German manufacturers have carried out comprehensive analysis of the test products available, including operation on live network equipment.

Aurora Forte was evaluated against its competitors, and Trend’s solution was a clear winner. Now Aurora Forte has a place in the Approved List  as the recommended product for the installation, support and maintenance of 3G networks.
