Aurora Tango adds GbEthernet
HIGH WYCOMBE - UK. Aurora Tango adds Gigabit Ethernet to its comprehensive range of Test Modules.
Trend Communications has announced a new Gigabit Ethernet Test Module that is specifically designed to quickly, easily and efficiently verify network performance at levels that guarantee customer satisfaction.
Aurora Tango Gigabit Ethernet provides an exceptional range of features ensuring reliable delivery of end-to-end services over Metropolitan networks based on Gigabit Ethernet.
This module has a comprehensive set of functions that will help service providers to install and maintain links and services based on Gigabit Ethernet. The Gigabit Ethernet module provides a range of tests and measurements such as RFC2544, top ten addresses, real-time Ethernet statistics, multilayer BERT, etc. Two Gigaport transceivers allow terminate, loopback and monitor connections to networks, plus a 10/100/1000Base-T cable port for legacy testing.
This new test module, in combination with the existing ADSL, SHDSL and ISDN modules, means that you can test four different technologies with the same tester, just by changing the module. This is important in today's test environment of multiple technologies. Operating the new test module is as easy as it is with the other modules: just one tap starts the automatic test suite that is defined by a customizable test script.
The Aurora Tango multi-service tester platform is a PDA based telecom/datacom test platform that has been developed to provide all the features needed for a technician or a field engineer to install, commission and maintain various services and technologies. All the test functions can be accessed with a PDA, a sophisticated graphical user interface that also includes all the standard applications such as Documents, Spreadsheets, Diaries and Email. For operators working with remote workforce, tasks can be easily scheduled by using this combination of functions.
Aurora Tango continues to be what it was designed to be - a future-proof multitechnology tester.
