New SHDSL facilities for the Aurora Tango
Trend's most successful platform now with extended functionality.
High Wycombe - UK, Trend Communications has announced a new Test Module which enables the Aurora Tango to connect to and test SHDSL applications.
The Aurora Tango multi-service tester platform has been developed to provide all the features needed for a technician or a field engineer to install, commission and maintain various services and technologies. It is ideal for leased line testing in the customer premises and at the network operator end.
The new SHDSL test module complements the Aurora Tango and its existing ADSL and ISDN modules by making the tester more flexible for use in the test environment of today’s multitude of technologies. Operating the new test module is as easy as it is with the other modules: One tap is enough to start the automatic test scenario defined by a customizable test script.
Aurora Tango SHDSL provides all the features needed to verify and analyze the service offered on the local loop. This includes emulation of either an STU-R or STU-C, verification of the SHDSL parameters, as well as connecting the higher layers and testing IP functionality by means of Ping and Trace Route tests.
With such special features as SHDSL statistics (data rate, SNR, SNM, Attenuation and alarms), Event tracer, EOC Messaging, and IP layer testing (PPP, PAP, CHAP Ping, Trace), Trend wants to guarantee that Aurora Tango continues being what it was designed to be: a future-proof multi-technology tester.
